Want to try out open pair/group feedback technique when checking some activities.

Students study and learn vocabulary items related to the myth of Frixos and Elli, then use this knowledge to create their own material (both oral and written; drawing is also included)

Timetable fit

This is the fourth in a series of units, an introduction to the myth of Jason and the Golden Fleece.

Group profile

There are 26 students in class, 13 boys and 13 girls.

Duration

One (1) teaching hour [45 minutes]

Assumptions

Students are pre-elementary (A1) level English learners. They have mastered part of the key vocabulary to discuss mythology, however their writing is still imprecise therefore needs work.

Anticipated problems and solutions

Learners may be unsure of some key vocabulary in the presented powerpoint presentation; the use of Greek, as well as a relevant True/False activity, will facilitate learning.
