Language Outcomes	Content	Learners learn about the Greeks’ trip to Troy and the first years of the Trojan war.
	Language	Learners can use the verbs “to be”, “have got” and “can”, as well as the Present Tenses, to comment on the story.
	Learning skill	Learners can work cooperatively in groups of four (4).
Personal aim	Want to try out narrative and descriptive technique based on pictures.
Educational aims	Students study and learn vocabulary items related to the Trojan war, then use this knowledge to carry out relevant tasks.
Timetable fit	This is the fifth in a series of units, dealing with the Trojan War.
Group profile	There are 26 students in class, 13 boys and 13 girls.
Duration	One (1) teaching hour [45 minutes]
Assumptions	Students are pre-elementary (A1) level English learners. They have enough of the key vocabulary already to discuss mythology, as well as start writing short relevant texts; however, their work still needs improvement.
Anticipated problems and solutions	Learners may be unsure of some key vocabulary; therefore, a powerpoint presentation together with related language games, will facilitate learning.
